Merci Viry!

As of 2026 BWT Alpine F1 Team will no longer be running their homemade F1 units. This is the sunset of a 50 year adventure with it’s lows, highs and mids. During the 2025 Abu Dhabi GP, the Renault PU was placarded with names of the people who participated in this wonderful adventure. It’s not the end of Renault as an F1 team but it’s the end as an engine manufacturer.

Fernando Alonso and Pierre Gasly left a kind and welcome last goodbye to Viry-Chatillon:

“It's definitely going to be very special (tomorrow), as you said. I've really enjoyed working with all the engineers and mechanics who have worked for me over the last three years, he added gratefully. 

As usual, I'll try to give my best in the car and finish with the best possible result, whatever the outcome.

Frederic Vasseur who worked on the Renault PU also left a little message:

“Renault has been a whole chapter of my life. I am truly and sincerely very moved for everyone at Viry,"
